SURFACE TREATMENTS AND APPEARANCE GRADES: Framing (hit & miss), Industrial, Architectural, Premium Stain Grade, and Hand Select Premium.
TEXTURES: Sanded, Rough Sawn, Light Rough Sawn, and Wire Brush.
CERTIFICATIONS: DSA/Title 24 (with inspection by others), and City of Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety.
PLANT CAPABILITIES: Length up to 120′, Width 1½“ to 20″, Depth 3″ to 96″
AVAILABLE COMBINATIONS: We offer the typical V4 and V8 layups as well as a variety of other lay-up combinations from A.I.T.C. 117-2004, to include 30f, and E-rated lay-ups.
STOCK BEAMS: Stock beams in standard camber (5,000′ radius). 1,000,000/board feet on the ground.
CUSTOM BEAMS: Specified radius or camber 600′ radius and larger at no extra cost. Net sizes per request.
CURVES & ARCHES: 7′ inside radius and larger, standard arches, and side curves. Members with tangents, constant curves, multi radii, pitch & camber, and Tudor arches.
PRESERVATIVE TREATMENT & SEALING STAINING: Incising for treating, custom staining and sealing with specified coatings from customer. Pressure treating requires coastal region Douglas Fir, or Southern Yellow Pine. QB outsources all pressure treating and it is recommended that any treatment for Glued Laminated beams be oil borne.
FABRICATION: To include attached detail and corbel sheets. Glulam truss assembly, disassembly, and steel connectors (shop drawings by others) with a variety of finishes for the steel, specified by the customer. Radial reinforcing, raceway for electrical, or other access, and custom shapes.
TRANSPORTATION: Shipping on flat bed trucks with companies that deliver on time, anywhere in the U.S. Long, wide, and overweight loads need to be quoted on a per job basis. Will call, FOB mill, or pick-up with your own freight company are all options.
